I retired in 2018 after working in the Kodak Research Labs and other associated areas for 50 years. Upon retirement, I moved with my wife to Newport News. I have been sailing off and on since my teen years. I originally sailed a Snark Sunflower, then moved up to a Rascal day sailer. When the kids came along I didn't get to do much sailing (occassional cruises with co-workers) but have gotten back into sailing in the last 20 years.

I currently own a Hake Seaward 25' which is currently on a trailer in upstate New York.

I go up to New York in the summer months to visit family and sail the Finger Lakes and Lake Ontario. My boat is trailerable. I am ASA 104 certified and have done crewing for others. Recently, I crewed from Portsmouth to Savannah, GA via the intercoastal and off-shore sailing on a 35' O'Day. And yes, we ran aground 5x on the ICW.
